The 2019 (P) Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Dollar is a dollar produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. The U.S. Mint produced 59,711 examples. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, authorized by Congress to honor significant American events, people, and institutions, while the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Designed by Gary Cooper/Phebe Hemphill. Struck in 99.9% silver, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #697673. The modern commemorative coin program was revived in 1982 after a 28-year hiatus. Over 80 different silver dollar commemoratives have been issued.
