The 2019 (P) Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Dollar is a commemorative dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The Philadelphia Mint struck 59,711 uncirculated Apollo 11 50th Anniversary dollars dated 2019. Authorized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing on July 20, 1969. The obverse features a concave design with the inscriptions 'Mercury,' 'Gemini,' and 'Apollo' separated by phases of the Moon and a footprint on the lunar surface, while the reverse displays a convex close-up of Buzz Aldrin's visor from the photograph of Buzz Aldrin on the Moon, showing the reflection of the lunar landscape. Designed by Gary Cooper/Phebe Hemphill. Struck in 99.9% silver, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #697673. Like the rest of the Apollo 11 program, it was struck in a curved shape.
