Description

2017-P MO WDDR-038 is a doubled die reverse on the 2017-P Ozark National Scenic Riverways quarter (Missouri) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. An extra stone along the upper left side of the cellar window forms the doubling. Obverse markers: a chip on the bust over the D of DOLLAR; NE/SW feeder finger scrapes under the ear and through the TY of LIBERTY; a gouge between the R and T of QUARTER, up at their tops; and gouges left of the E in QUARTER, over the W of WE and left of the M in AMERICA. Reverse markers: chips in the branches under the S of RIVERWAYS and under the O of OZARK; pre-die break depressions between the left roof and the tree and in the branches below the ER of RIVERWAYS; a gouge in the field beneath the first R of RIVERWAYS; and a gouge left of the chip in the rightmost branches.
