Description
2017-P MO WDDR-010 is a doubled die reverse on the 2017-P Ozark National Scenic Riverways quarter (Missouri) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling takes the form of four extra stones in the cellar window. Obverse markers: areas of die abrasion, probably from feeder finger scrapes, under the ear and slightly over LIBERTY's Y; a weak gouge under TRUST's R; a weak gouge at the top of DOLLAR's A; two small, closely spaced gouges right of LIBERTY's Y; a gouge under the right side of QUARTER's last R; and a large gouge at the rim over STATES' first T. Reverse markers: on the left roof, a pre-die break depression; cracks in the branches under RIVERWAYS' ER and under its Y; and a gouge over the crack beneath the ER. George W. Powell, Jr. submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
