2015 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-005

Description

2015 WDDR-005 is a doubled die reverse on the 2015 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The designer's initials LB show light extra thickness, and its letters have small notches at their top left corners. On the obverse, a WNW/ESE crack crosses the hair high on the front of the head, and a second crack leaves the eyebrow and runs NNW into the forehead. Reverse markers: a crack across the shield's top left; a chip on the N of ONE at its bottom right; a chip on the lower part of the C in CENT; a crack through the bottoms of CEN in CENT; and a SW/NE crack through the lower part of CENT's T. Richard Ray submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
