2015 Atypical Die Clash ADC-1C-2015-01

Description

ADC-1c-2015-01 This is an atypical die clash found on a 2015(P) Lincoln cent. This coin is in the collection of Chris Freda. Strong clash marks from the reverse can be seen on the obverse. The partial word UNUM can be seen next to Lincoln’s bow tie. The back of Lincoln’s next can be seen clashed into the reverse die on the image to the left. The under part of Lincoln’s chin can be seen clashed into the reverse in the image to the right. This clash can be recognized by the crack in Lincoln’s forehead and the die chip above the R in PLURIBUS of the shield’s left edge.
