Description
Doubling shows on the lower part of Thomas Jefferson’s nose. Die Markers: Obverse: Short die crack across the base of the bust above the left side of the D in DOLLAR. Large die gouge left of the A in QUARTER. Die gouge above the right side of the B in LIBERTY. Die gouge between the bottom of the D and O in DOLLAR. Two die gouges around the top of the last L in DOLLAR. Die gouges inside the U in UNITED. Die gouge right of the T in UNITED. Die gouge inside the upper opening of the E in UNITED. Reverse: Die crack extends N from the suspended worker's right foot. Die gouge in the field left of Washington's mouth. Die gouge left of the worker standing on the scaffolding.
