Description
Doubling shows on the lower part of Thomas Jefferson’s nose. Die Markers: Obverse: Large die chip left of the designer's initials JF with a thin die crack extending E through the letters. Die gouge between the upper R and T in LIBERTY. Die gouge above the left side of the O in DOLLAR. Die gouge inside the U in UNITED. Die gouge touches the left side of the M in AMERICA. Small die gouge between the bottoms of the O and D in GOD. Reverse: Die crack extends N from the suspended worker's right foot. E/W die scratch in front of Jefferson's left eye. Die gouge left of the top of the leftmost scaffolding post. Small die gouge below Washington's nose. Die gouge inside of Jefferson's left eye.
