Doubling shows on the lower part of Thomas Jefferson’s nose.Die Markers: Obverse: Left obverse edge heavily abraded. Large die gouge above the I in LIBERTY. Large die gouge in the lower opening of the E in LIBERTY. Die gouge at the inner left side of the U in QUARTER. Small die gouge below the U in TRUST. Small die gouge below the ear. Reverse: Die break on the top of Washington's head, below the RU in RUSHMORE. Die crack extends N from the suspended worker's right foot. Large die gouge below the right end of the scaffolding. The original WDDR-029 was found to be an earlier die stage of WDDR-011. Obverse Stage A: NW/SE die crack through the designer's initials. Die gouge right of the top of the U in QUARTER. Small die gouge in the lower opening of the E in LIBERTY. Die gouge above the IB in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: Die chip formed on the left end of the Stage A die crack. Stage A gouges weaker but still present. Die gouge between the lower D and O in DOLLAR. Die gouge below the D in UNITED. Die gouge below the center arm of the F in OF. Reverse Stage A: Die crack extends N from the suspended worker's right foot. Die gouge in front of Washington's mouth. Reverse Stage B: Stage A markers still present. Stage A die crack extends further N. Die chip on the right side of Jefferson's nostril.
