Description
Doubling shows on the lower part of Thomas Jefferson’s nose. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A small die gouge can be found inside the upper E in UNITED. A short die gouge can be found to the left of the D in DOLLAR. Obverse Stage B: Stage A die markers abraded away. Die gouge SW of the ear. Die gouge below the right arm of the T in LIBERTY. Die gouge left of the A in STATES. Die gouge in the upper opening of the E in WE. Reverse Stage A: None significant. Reverse Stage B: Die gouge on Washington's nose. Die gouge left of Jefferson's right eye. Die gouge left of Jefferson's lower left eyelid. Die gouge above the hat of the suspended worker.
