Doubling shows on the lower part of Thomas Jefferson’s nose. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Small die gouge left of the top of the R in DOLLAR. Small die gouge inside the lower opening of the N in UNITED. Small die gouge right of the T in QUARTER. Die gouge between the A and T in STATES. Die gouge touches the bottom of the I in AMERICA. Obverse Stage B: Stage A die markers likely still present. Reverse Stage A: Die crack through the suspended worker's right foot. Die gouge near Washington's forehead below the M in MOUNT. Reverse Stage B: Stage A die markers likely still present. Die chip formed on the suspended worker's right foot.
