2012 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-005

Description

2012 WDDR-005 is a doubled die reverse on the 2012 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling shows between the 6th and 7th vertical stripes of the shield, above the banner. On the obverse, a crack crosses the upper hair under WE, with a large chip under the E along it, and gouges sit on the bowtie and where the vest meets the lapel, left of the lower date. On the reverse, a gouge sits under the right side of the E in STATES, and a light crack runs along the top left of the shield. Daniel Griffin submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
