2012 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001

Description

2012 WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2012 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the lower letters of ONE CENT, its spread growing from left to right. Doubling also shows on the lower part of the shield and on both sets of designer's initials, the J in JFM above all. On the obverse, a crack runs SSW to NNE across the upper hair, passing south of WE's W. On the reverse, in the central part of the shield, a small gouge sits between the 3rd and 4th stripes. Jon A. Rice submitted the variety. Its Coppercoins number is 2012P-1DR-001.
