Description

Inaugural year of Lyndall Bass's Union Shield reverse design, the 2010 Lincoln Shield Cent marked a major transition in cent production — and CU-1c-2010-01 records a cud on this new design era. Philadelphia struck 1,963,630,000 Shield cents in 2010, the first year the shield reverse replaced the four rotating 2009 Bicentennial designs that had temporarily succeeded the long-running Lincoln Memorial reverse.
