The 2008 Presidential Dollar - Andrew Jackson, Missing Edge Lettering is part of the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. The obverse features a portrait of Andrew Jackson, 7th President (1829-1837), with distinctive swept-back hair, while the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty, inscribed with the dollar sign ($) to represent commerce and the nation's global presence. Struck in 88.5% copper, 6% zinc, 3.5% manganese and 2% nickel, weighing 8.1 grams, 26.5 mm in diameter, with a plain edge. Cataloged as PCGS #410407. The Presidential Dollar Program (2007-2016, continuing with deceased presidents) issued dollar coins honoring each president in chronological order. The 2007 Washington dollar "Godless Dollar" error (missing edge inscription) attracted widespread media attention.
