Description
The 2008 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-002 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 2008 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent, part of the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. Die markers: Obverse: A die crack runs NE through the upper back of the head to the W of WE. A die crack runs NNW from the eyebrow to the top of the head. Reverse: A small die gouge can be found under the top right side of the C in CENT. A die crack runs down the C of CENT. Short die cracks run NE from the tops of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Memorial columns. A short die scratch runs SW from the bottom left side of the 1st U in UNUM. A small die gouge can be found to the left of the bottom of the N in UNUM.
