Description
The 2007 (P) Presidential Dollar - John Adams, Doubled Edge Lettering Inverted is a dollar produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. Total mintage reached 112.4 million. The obverse features rotating portraits of each U.S. president in order of service, released four per year and the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty. Inaugural year of the Presidential Dollar Program, honoring Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Madison. The "Godless Dollar" error — coins struck without the edge-incused motto IN GOD WE TRUST — generated national headlines and collector frenzy.
