2007 (P) Idaho State Quarter - CU-25c-2007P-02R(ID) Rim Cud

Description

A reverse rim cud for the 2007 Philadelphia Idaho State Quarter, featuring Donna Weaver's design, sculpted by Don Everhart, of a Peregrine Falcon over the state outline with the motto "Esto Perpetua." The detailed feather rendering creates intricate design-to-rim transitions where die stress concentrations develop during sustained production. Philadelphia struck over 294 million Idaho quarters in 2007, subjecting die pairs to millions of impacts. Rim cuds on State Quarters attract both die break specialists and casual collectors drawn to the visual impact of a raised interruption in the rim of a familiar state design. Cataloged by Cuds on Coins.
