Description

VarietyVista designates this 2005 Philadelphia Lincoln Memorial cent as UVC-3183 / DMR-034, a doubled die reverse with medium spread to the east generating an extra column #6 from the hand to the ankle. Compared to DDR-019 from the same year, which shows elbow-to-shin doubling on the same column, DDR-032 extends the ghost image substantially farther in both directions — beginning at the hand above and continuing down past the shin to the ankle. This near-complete column doubling makes DDR-032 the more visually accessible of the two 2005 eastward varieties, as the longer secondary line provides more surface area for confirmation under magnification. Confirmed at Early Die State (Stage A), the extensive hand-to-ankle coverage indicates a somewhat greater eastward hub shift than the partial doubling on DDR-019. Philadelphia struck approximately 3.9 billion cents in 2005, and each working die served for a finite portion of that output before replacement. The consecutive DMR numbers (021 and 034) assigned to DDR-019 and DDR-032 reflect their positions in the broader catalog of 2005 doubled die reverses.
