2005 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-029

Description

Targeting column #6 rather than the more frequently doubled column #7, the 2005 Philadelphia Lincoln Memorial Cent DDR-029 shows medium spread in the East direction with the secondary column image extending from knee level down to the pedestal, slightly rotated counterclockwise. East-direction spread pushes the ghost column to the right of the primary, and the CCW rotation tilts the secondary image at a slight angle relative to the vertical column shaft. This combination of eastward displacement and rotational tilt produces a distinctive doubled column that differs from the straight parallel doubling seen on many Memorial cent DDRs. Die markers UVC-3180 and DMR-031 anchor the attribution. Stage A documents the obverse in Early Die State with the reverse also in EDS, while Stage B records a Mid Die State reverse, tracking the die through continued service. Column #6 East varieties constitute a smaller subset of Memorial cent DDRs than the dominant column #7 West group, and the added counterclockwise rotation makes DDR-029 particularly identifiable among the extensive 2005 Philadelphia doubled die catalog.
