2004 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-015

Description

Medium spread rotated counterclockwise producing an extra column number 6 from hand to foot and a small extra column number 7 at the knee characterizes DDR-015 on the 2004 Philadelphia Mint Lincoln Memorial Cent. Cataloged by VarietyVista as UVC-2840 and DMR-012, die stage B documents the reverse at early-mid die state with a die crack K-6 through C of CENT to the building. The CCW rotational spread displaced the hub angularly, producing secondary column impressions adjacent to the primaries, with column 6 showing a full hand-to-foot extra column and column 7 displaying a smaller knee-area duplicate. The die crack at Stage B from K-6 through CENT to the building traces a path from denomination into the facade. Frank Gasparro's Memorial reverse features the columned facade where rotational hub doubling generates supernumerary column impressions. The full extra sixth column creates a dramatic diagnostic while the partial seventh provides secondary confirmation. The 2004 Philadelphia cent belongs to the later years of the Memorial reverse, and the multi-column rotational spread makes this variety visually accessible under moderate magnification.
