2002 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-002

Description

2002 WDDR-002 is a doubled die reverse on the 2002 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. A partial column passes through the right side of the statue. Wexler records two stages. On the Stage A obverse, a small gouge lies to the left of the head, near the upper back, and another sits just under the G in GOD. The Stage B obverse shows a small gouge just below the nose and die pitting north of the date's first zero. On the Stage A reverse, UNITED has a small gouge between the U and N and another under the N on its right side, and a gouge lies right of the N in CENT. The Stage B reverse shows a gouge touching the top of the I in AMERICA on its right side, a gouge right of the upper T in CENT, and die pitting right of the last Memorial column. John A.
