Description
2000 WDDR-025 is a doubled die reverse on the 2000 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Slight doubling appears on the sixth column's right side, left of the statue's upper legs, and doubling also shows along the statue's right leg, on its right side. Obverse markers: a gouge beside the bottom of TRUST's second T, on its right; nearly parallel scratches running WNW to ESE under the ST of TRUST; and a strong gouge in the field close to the rim at about 3:00. Reverse markers: a small gouge touching the N of UNITED at the lower right of its left vertical bar, and a strong scratch running NNE from the upper right of the fourth column up to the Memorial ceiling. William Slaughter submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
