2000 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-024

Description

2000 WDDR-024 is a doubled die reverse on the 2000 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling appears on the sixth column's right side, left of the statue's upper legs, and on the seventh column's left side, right of the upper legs. An extra knee also sits between the upper legs. Obverse markers: a small gouge in the upper part of the N in IN, and a scratch heading north off the upper right of the third zero of the date. Reverse markers: a gouge under UNITED, between and below its U and N; a gouge at the rim over the O in OF; a small gouge under the G of FG; a gouge at the rim SE of FG; and a gouge against the T in CENT at the middle of its left side. William Slaughter submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
