Description

2000 WDDR-023 is a doubled die reverse on the 2000 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling appears on the right side of the sixth column, left of the statue's upper legs, and an extra knee sits above and between the legs. Obverse markers: a gouge inside the upper part of the first zero, and a gouge against the first T of TRUST, on the right side of its upright. Reverse markers: a scratch running SSE from the right side of the sixth column to the statue's shoulder; a gouge against the N in UNITED, on its left upright's right side; a gouge touching the center of the left side of the first T in STATES; a gouge under the first A of AMERICA; a gouge left of the top of the E in AMERICA; a gouge just below the S in PLURIBUS and right of its bottom; two gouges in the upper and middle-upper parts of the seventh bay; a small gouge at the bottom of the tenth bay; and a small gouge right of the E in ONE at mid-height. William Slaughter submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 2-R-VIII.
