2000 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-017

Description

2000 WDDR-017 is a doubled die reverse on the 2000 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling appears along the lower left edge of the seventh Memorial column, right of the statue's legs. Obverse markers: a gouge touching the bottom of the second zero of the date; a small gouge touching the second T of TRUST at its lower right tip; a small gouge under the B in LIBERTY; and a small gouge on the sideburn area, right of the earlobe. Reverse markers: a crack starts at the bottom of the second column, heads north, then turns NE onto the cornice, with a small chip on the lower left of the second column sitting on that crack; a small gouge under the middle bar of the E in UNITED; a small gouge touching the lower right of the E's upright in AMERICA; a small gouge left of the lower part of the second A in AMERICA; and a small gouge touching the inside of the O in ONE at its lower left.
