2000 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-010

Description

2000 WDDR-010 is a doubled die reverse on the 2000 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling appears along the lower left edge of the seventh Memorial column, to the right of the upper pedestal and the statue's lower legs, with slight doubling between the statue's feet. Obverse markers in the date: a small gouge within the first 0, on its right side; a gouge under the right side of the second 0; and, inside the final 0, a diagonal gouge running W/SE in its upper right and another running WNW/ESE in its lower right. In TRUST, a gouge sits under the first T, a gouge touches the R on the outside of its lower right, and several gouges lie left of and below the U. On the portrait: several gouges on the front of the hair and in the field before it; a gouge right of the forehead; several gouges in the mid-hair and forehead area under WE; and a gouge at the lower end of the collar, against its left side, above the lapel. Many gouges also sit under IBE in LIBERTY. Reverse markers: gouges between the lower parts of the U and N in UNITED; a gouge well under the D of UNITED; a gouge right of the roof; a gouge beside the C of AMERICA, left of its top; a gouge on the lower Memorial base beneath the right side of the first column; a gouge right of the lower E in CENT; and a gouge on the right side of the N's lower left upright in CENT.
