2000 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-009

Description

2000 WDDR-009 is a doubled die reverse on the 2000 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling appears along the lower right edge of the sixth Memorial column, left of the statue's legs, and an extra knee sits between the centers of the legs. Obverse markers: a gouge well under the N of IN, toward its right side; gouges touching the top of the hair under the G and under the D of GOD; and two gouges on the temple, left of the eye. Reverse markers: a gouge above the right cornice tip; a gouge under the R in AMERICA; a linear gouge touching the left underside of the T's upright in CENT; and a linear gouge touching the rim beneath the right side of that T. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
