ADC-1c-2000-02 The 2000-P Lincoln cent above has underwent a clash die event. The overlay shows that the dies were somewhat out of position when they met. This coin is in the collection of Alex Helzel. The image above shows the clash mark left by the T of CENT and the base of the Memorial building. Clash marks left by the bays are seen in the image above and the next image down. The image above shows the clash mark left by Lincoln’s chin. Lincoln’s eye socket and upper nose are clashed below the Memorial building base. Parts of Lincoln’s jacket and sleeve can be seen clashed into the motto EPU and upper roof of the Memorial building.
