2000 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1C-2000-01

Description

ADC-1c-2000-01 is an atypical die clash on a 2000-P Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. The clash has a 2° tilt, and MDC gives an overlay of the die positions. On the obverse, the first U of UNUM shows just above the fold at the shoulder of Lincoln's jacket, and the columns and bays create the familiar "prisoner" effect. On the reverse, Lincoln's ear and part of his beard left strong marks just below the Memorial stairs, his forehead clashed over the N of CENT, fold lines from the jacket cross UNUM, and the jacket collar left a mark above the statue of Lincoln.
