1999 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-029

Description

1999-D WDDR-029 is a doubled die reverse on the 1999-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. On the sixth column, left of the statue, a slanted extended bar starts at the bottom of the hand and ends just below the knee. On the obverse, die chips lie left of the date and the mint mark, one sits between the U and S of TRUST, and another is above that U. On the reverse, a chip is over the M of AMERICA, another is well above and right of the G in the designer's initials (FG), and a die scratch at the rim lies left of the Memorial base. Steve Young submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 1-R-VIII, and its Coppercoins number is 1999D-1DR-006.
