Carrying the attribution Wexler Variety ID: 1999-D 1¢ WDDR-007, this Denver-mint Lincoln Memorial Cent reverse exhibits a bar extended from the lower base to the floor on the left lower side of the sixth column — a form of hub doubling that manifests as additional structural detail within the Memorial's architecture. Die markers are numerous and help distinguish this variety from others on the 1999-D date: a die chip appears on the right memorial base, another die chip sits to the right of the upper O of ONE, and a die chip marks the right end of the middle crossbar left of the upper E of AMERICA. Frank Gasparro's Memorial reverse, with its intricate colonnade and central statue, has proven exceptionally productive for doubled die discoveries because minor hub displacement creates visible anomalies in the regularly spaced architectural elements.
