Slight doubling shows at an angle on the right side of the 6th Memorial column to the left of the statue’s knees. Slight doubling also shows between the upper legs.Die Markers: Obverse: A die scratch runs NW to SE to the left of the lower head. A small die gouge can be found above the second 9. Reverse: A small die gouge can be found inside the D of UNITED. Die clash remnants can be found in the lower 9th bay. The roof hub markers are not visible. Obverse Stage A: Strong die gouge well north of the 8 in the date. Obverse Stage B: Same as Stage A. Reverse Stage A: The reverse has the “Wide AM” design intended for proof dies with this date. Short die gouge to the right of the upper A in STATES. Small die gouge to the left of the 4th Memorial column almost half way up from the bottom. Reverse Stage B: Two small die gouges (semi-colon) to the left of the E in E PLURIBUS UNUM. Die chip on lower left side of left Memorial base.
