1996 (P) Kennedy Half Dollar - Typical Die Clash TDC-50C-1996-01
Error
Description
TDC-50c-1996-01 is a typical die clash on a 1996-P Kennedy half dollar, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. Neither side's clash marks have been abraded. On the obverse, the rays around the eagle's head left marks, the banner holding E PLURIBUS UNUM left a long mark, and the eagle's left wing clashed into Kennedy's ear. The reverse shows a single mark, made by the lower part of Kennedy's ear. The die is easy to pick out by a large crack across the lower bust of Kennedy that runs to the rim between the 1 and the 9 of the date.
