Produced at the Philadelphia Mint, the 1993 (P) Jefferson Nickel is part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. The Philadelphia Mint struck 412,076,000 nickels dated 1993. The obverse features Thomas Jefferson facing left and the reverse displays Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's Virginia estate. Both mints active with steady production volumes. Philadelphia's mint — the nation's first — has produced coins without interruption since its founding in 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $0.05 to $1 depending on grade and condition.
