Description

TDC-1c-1991-02 This typical die clash is rather unusual since both clash events are off-center and one is rotated. This coin is in the collection of Daniel Lavoie. The above overlay shows the clash event that is both rotated approximately 10° and off-centered. The above overlay shows the other clash event which is off-centered. The image to the left shows the clash marks formed by the R and Y of LIBERTY and the back of Lincoln’s jacket. The image to the right, which is from a different die clash event, shows the clash mark formed by Lincoln’s beard.
