1991 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-008

Description

1991 WDDR-008 is a doubled die reverse on the 1991 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Extra Memorial columns appear beside columns 8, 9, 10 and 11, on the right side of each. On the obverse, a small gouge lies south of the first 9. On the reverse, a short diagonal gouge sits in the space between the N and I of UNITED, close to the rim. From the tip of the left cornice a die crack runs WNW to the rim, passing just right of the I in UNITED. A gouge touches the O in OF at its top, and gouges lie right of the middle of the T in CENT. A second crack links the left tip of the bust's base with the rim. Bruce W. Baker submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
