Description

A close spread towards the rim shows on STATES OF AMERICA, especially as notches on the lower A’s. Doubling also shows on some of the lower letters in EPU and the designer’s initials. Notches show on the upper letters of ONE CENT. Die Markers: Obverse: A die scratch runs through the TRU in TRUST. Reverse: Two strong die scratches run NE from the lower right of the E in ONE. A die scratch runs east from the lower right of the S in PLURIBUS. Two die scratches run through the upper ATE in STATES. A die clash runs SSE from the bottom of the Memorial under the left pillar.
