1988 Atypical Die Clash ADC-25C-1988-01

ADC-25c-1988-01 This is a rather strong die clash that was found on a 1988 P Washington quarter. The overlay provided shows the relative position of the dies when they did clash. This coin is in the private collection of Donn Page. The picture above shows the long wing feathers and the inner wing feather junction clashed into Washington’s nose area. The picture above shows the junction of the laurel leaves clashed into the queue of Washington. The reverse shows a clash mark made by Washington’s throat line clashed under the eagle’s beak. Washington’s nose and eye line are seen clashed above the arrow’s tips.
