Description

A nice spread towards the center shows on the date and the bottom of the bust. A lesser spread also shows on the upper hair lines and the letters of IN GOD WE TRUST and LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: A small die gouge can be found between the 1 and 9 in the date. Die gouges can be found to the left of the lower ear. Die pitting can be found in the field to the right of the forehead and eye. Reverse: A strong die scratch extends northwest from the top of the left base of the Memorial. A die scratch extends northwest from the left roof of the Memorial to the E of UNITED. A die scratch connects the center right E of ONE to the top of the C of CENT. Several die scratches run through the lower ERICA of AMERICA. A die crack runs down the diagonal bar of the N of ONE to the rim. Two die chips can be found at the top of the N of ONE. Obverse:
