1987 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1C-1987-01

Description

ADC-1c-1987-01 is an atypical die clash on a 1987-P Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. It is a strong clash from two events, with a clear shift in die position between them, and both are rotated about 7° from the strike. Parts of ONE show in the field above Lincoln's head, and two lines from the Memorial roof sit in the field below IN, along with marks from the bays. On the reverse, both events left marks from the back of Lincoln's head, and the front of his head left marks as well. The die is in Joe Koelling's private collection.
