1986 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1C-1986-03-2
Error
Description
ADC-1c-1986-03 is an atypical die clash on a 1986-P Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. The dies were heavily abraded and the reverse shows no clash marks, but the obverse shows five separate clash events, all made by the roof's right side; MDC marks each one with a different colored arrow. Some of these marks may come from die chatter, much like machine doubling, in which case the five lines could have come from as few as two clash events. The coin is in Vivien Bullard's collection.
