1984 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-003

Description

1984 WDDR-003 is a doubled die reverse on the 1984 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and E PLURIBUS UNUM show extra thickness. A few separation lines can be seen on the U of UNITED and on the E and P of E PLURIBUS UNUM, and notches show on the lower parts of the A's and the R in AMERICA. On the obverse, a short gouge reaches from the rim over the right side of GOD's O. On the reverse, scratches lie above the statue's right shoulder, and vertical scratches sit right of the lower part of ONE's N. John A. Conway submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
