1984 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1C-1984-11

Description

ADC-1c-1984-11 is an atypical die clash on a 1984 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. Where the obverse and reverse fields struck each other, the surface is altered: the areas can look distinctly shiny, with the die flow lines and other small flaws gone, almost as if slightly melted. For attribution, MDC advises checking the clash marks that cross key points such as the date, the face and LIBERTY; a match needs marks in exactly the same place and of the same depth, otherwise it is a different die.
