1984 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1C-1984-04

Description

ADC-1c-1984-04 is an atypical die clash on a 1984-P Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. MDC says it only just qualifies as atypical, on the strength of three separate, staggered clash events, and gives an overlay for each. The evidence is clearest on the left side of the reverse: the back line of Lincoln's coat left three marks in bays 2 and 3, and the strongest event put the Y of LIBERTY in bay 2. Below the left urn there are again signs of three events. The right side of the reverse shows only one.
