Description
ADC-5c-1983-06 is an atypical die clash on a 1983-P Jefferson nickel, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. It shows two clash events. The more normal one, for which MDC gives an overlay, left only a single mark, formed by the field and Jefferson's brow and forehead. In the other, the dies were slightly tilted and their faces offset; it left marks from the field, the underside of Jefferson's jaw and his coat collar, plus marks from his queue. The coin is in Kevin Mader's collection.
