Description

ADC-5c-1983-01 This is a strong clash event found on a 1983 Jefferson nickel. This coin is in the collection of Joe Koelling. The image above shows the partial letter M from the word Monticello. Also seen in this image are the right top and bottom of Monticello. The image above shows the partial O of MONTICELLO and the left top and bottom of that building. The space between Jefferson’s neck and his queue is the most predominate clash mark seen in the image above. Also seen are parts of the bow and Jefferson’s hair. Jefferson’s collar, chin and forehead are seen clashed into the reverse die in the image to the left.
