Description
CU-1C-1982-70 is a cud on the Zinc Small Date subtype of the 1982 Philadelphia cent. Seventy unique die rim failures for a single date and mint — each individually confirmed through positional comparison against every preceding entry — represents an investment of thousands of collective hours by the searchers, submitters, and verifiers who sustain the Cuds on Coins registry. The Zinc Small Date cent, at 2.5 grams with compact date numerals, occupies the newest corner of the 1982 variety matrix: post-transition composition with the newer Small Date hub, a combination that embodies the full extent of the changes Philadelphia implemented during this landmark year.
