1980 (P) Washington Quarter - Atypical Die Clash ADC-25C-1980-01

Description

ADC-25c-1980P-01 is an atypical die clash on a 1980-P Washington quarter, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. The clash is strong, and despite a fair amount of circulation wear the marks on both sides remain plain. On the obverse, the reverse wreath left clash marks, the field and the top of the eagle's right wing left another, and marks in the field beside Washington's queue came from the inner design of the eagle's left wing. On the reverse, Washington's neck and lower jaw left marks, his eye and the top of his head appear below the wreath's right stem, and the outline of his head continues through the wreath toward the eagle's wing. Daniel Lavoie owns the coin.
