Description
A Class IV spread to the west shows on the 19 of the date and the RTY of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: A die scratch runs NE from the lower right 1 to the upper left 9. A die gouge can be found between the upper L and I of LIBERTY. A short, vertical die gouge can be found to the left of the lower I of IN. A die scratch runs SW from the lower back of the head. Reverse: A die scratch curving south runs between the upper N and T of CENT. Obverse:

- Discovered by John A. Wexler Cross References: CONECA: 2-O-IV Comments: This variety first appeared in the 1984 book The Lincoln Cent Doubled Die (Page 204) and was originally reported by Ed Raser. In that reference it was listed as 1975 1¢ 2-O-III. Doubling can be seen on the right side of the 1 and on the top right of the upper left loop of the 9.
