Description
1972-S WDDO-007 is a doubled die obverse on the 1972-S Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Slight doubling shows over the lower part of the date's 2, and master die doubling appears on LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. On the obverse, an SSW/NNE scratch lies right of the Y in LIBERTY. On the reverse, a gouge sits near the rim, halfway from AMERICA's second A to the designer's initials, and a small gouge lies NNW of those initials. Keith Christenson submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
